Position Overview

As a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor, you will engage in a variety of technical activities including boundary, topographic, construction, and subdivision surveys. You will be responsible for ensuring precise project delivery while collaborating closely with field teams, clients, contractors, and senior leadership. Your role will also involve managing deliverables, resolving technical challenges, and maintaining the company’s strong reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support projects related to boundaries, topography, construction, and subdivisions.
• Analyze and verify survey data, plans, calculations, and deliverables.
• Coordinate activities of field crews and technical personnel.
• Advise clients regarding subdivision feasibility, site limitations, and development strategies.
• Prepare or review subdivision resource consent applications and related documentation.
• Develop scheme plans and survey plans alongside supporting paperwork.
• Engage and liaise effectively with local councils, planners, engineers, architects, lawyers, and other consultants.
• Apply professional judgment to complex surveying assignments.
• Promote quality assurance processes and contribute to improved workflows.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior surveyors and technicians.
• Ensure all cadastral work complies with professional, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Support ongoing enhancements in technology adoption and project methodologies.

Candidate Profile

• Holds Licensed Cadastral Surveyor certification.
• Demonstrates extensive cadastral surveying experience.
• Experienced in managing subdivisions and land development projects of varied sizes.
• Preferably familiar with preparation or support of resource consent applications.
• Capable of interpreting planning regulations, title issues, easements, and subdivision criteria confidently.
• Exemplary communication abilities and professional client relations skills.
• Capacity to independently manage projects while collaborating effectively with team members.
• Solution-oriented mindset focused on addressing technical and regulatory issues practically.

Proficiency in modern surveying software, digital workflows, and field technology is highly advantageous.
