About Modern School Lucknow
Established in 1979, Modern School Lucknow is dedicated to fostering an engaging and inquiry-led educational atmosphere that promotes academic advancement. The institution offers the IB curriculum from Nursery through Grade 5, the ICSE curriculum for Grades 6 to 10, and the ISC curriculum for Grades 11 and 12.
Role Overview
We are looking to hire a full-time School Librarian based on-site in Lucknow. The successful candidate will oversee the management and organization of the library's resources, assist students and educators with research and inquiry processes, maintain library systems, and promote a reading culture throughout the school community.
Candidate Profile
The ideal librarian will be passionate and well-organized, aiming to create a welcoming environment that nurtures reading, research skills, curiosity, and independent learning among students.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or a closely related discipline.
- Proficiency in library management, cataloguing, and structuring resources effectively.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Competence in selecting suitable print and digital materials tailored for different age groups.
- Ability to assist students in research techniques and information literacy.
- Previous experience working in a school library setting is advantageous.
