Shift Details and Compensation

The position operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 6:45 am to 3:00 pm. Hourly pay ranges from $18.40 to $25.80, with opportunities for overtime pay. Starting wages depend on individual qualifications and experience. Comprehensive benefits start on day one.

Role Summary

As a Level III Assembler, you will contribute significantly to assembling high-quality precision fluid system components. The role requires interpreting technical instructions and drawings, performing complex mechanical assembly tasks, and ensuring production quality through inspections. You will also support process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain smooth workflow within the manufacturing cell.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble parts and subassemblies based on standardized work instructions, engineering drawings, and product specifications
• Execute intricate mechanical assembly tasks requiring precision and technical skill
• Inspect components and final products for quality compliance
• Operate various hand and power tools, gauges, and testing equipment
• Address routine assembly challenges and escalate complex concerns appropriately
• Keep accurate production and quality records
• Conduct in-process inspections and perform functional tests as needed
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
• Mentor and train junior assemblers when required
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area following company policies
• Cross-train to work in multiple production zones to meet operational demands
• Engage in team meetings and support department goals actively
• Consistently demonstrate Swagelok’s core values in daily work

Candidate Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to build precise mechanical assemblies
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and technical documents
• Close attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality outcomes
• Problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose practical solutions
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
• Effective multitasking while maintaining quality and productivity standards
• Dedication to safety and continuous process improvement
• Proven reliability, accountability, and ownership of tasks

Preferred Experience

• Previous background in manufacturing or precision assembly
• Exposure to lean manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and torque wrenches
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and product specifications
• Participation in process improvement or mentoring initiatives

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking for extended periods throughout shifts
• Frequent use of hands for repetitive manual assembly tasks requiring dexterity
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials within departmental limits
• Occasional bending, reaching, twisting, and stooping
• Visual focus to perform detailed inspection and precise assembly work
• Mandatory use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety guidelines
