Lead User Interface Designer

Position Overview

Gemini Solutions Pvt Ltd is looking for an accomplished Senior UI Designer to spearhead interface design projects for banking and fintech products across both mobile and web platforms. This role demands full ownership of the UI design workflow, strong collaboration with stakeholders, and a proven track record in modernizing and upgrading legacy systems into scalable, design system–based interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire UI design process from initial concept through to developer handoff.
• Lead initiatives to transform and modernize interfaces for established financial products.
• Perform UI audits and guide modernization efforts in alignment with business goals and compliance.
• Create high-quality, pixel-perfect designs for mobile and responsive web applications.
• Develop, maintain, and scale comprehensive design systems including components, tokens, and documentation.
• Work closely with product management, engineering teams, compliance officers, and business stakeholders.
• Communicate design strategies clearly, backing solutions with solid rationale to influence decisions.
• Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards and secure design best practices.
• Mentor junior designers and maintain high standards for visual quality.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in UI design with a minimum of 2 years focused on banking products.
• Demonstrated leadership in UI revamp and modernization projects.
• Experience working within the GCC banking sector is mandatory.
• Expertise in component-driven design systems.
• Advanced skills with Figma, including Auto Layout, Components, Variants, and Libraries.
• Background designing data-intensive, transactional enterprise applications.
• Deep understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Strong communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Portfolio showcasing scalable design systems and tangible UI improvements.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Communication, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Relevant certifications in UI Design or Design Systems are advantageous.
