Lead, Supplier Relationship Management

Overview

The role is focused on establishing and nurturing robust partnerships with suppliers to enable collaboration, resolve disputes, and support projects that align with the organization's strategic aims. This position contributes to improving operational processes, fostering innovation, and driving organizational success through effective supplier engagement.

Key Duties

• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, systems, and controls following the group delegation of authority to deliver consistent, quality, and cost-efficient service.
• Prepare and submit timely reports in compliance with business standards to keep senior management informed and support decision making.
• Serve as the primary liaison for suppliers, facilitating open communication and fostering trust.
• Engage with suppliers proactively to comprehend their objectives and concerns, aligning them with company goals.
• Manage conflicts or issues within supplier relations promptly to achieve satisfactory resolutions.
• Lead negotiations and promote cooperative dialogue to develop mutually advantageous agreements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational or contractual challenges affecting supplier partnerships.
• Organize supplier-oriented programs such as workshops, innovation sessions, and collaborative improvement initiatives.
• Promote knowledge exchange and cooperation between the company and suppliers to encourage ongoing process enhancement and innovation.
• Identify and pursue joint opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and innovative outcomes.
• Conduct regular joint business reviews presenting performance metrics and insights to suppliers.
• Assess supplier capabilities and support initiatives geared towards skill development and capacity building, including training and resource sharing.

• Be vigilant and report any risks or hazards that cannot be resolved independently to management.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• A minimum of six years of relevant professional experience.
• A master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
