Role Overview
We are searching for a seasoned Lead Software Engineer with extensive experience in full-stack development to join our Sydney team at Virtusa. This role requires a strong foundation in .NET technologies combined with hands-on expertise in front-end frameworks and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering.
- Demonstrate proficiency in .NET Core, including versions .NET 6 and .NET 8. Experience with RESTful APIs and microservice architectures is essential.
- Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka is advantageous.
- Strong command of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript; expertise in either React/Next.js (preferred) or Angular frameworks.
- Advanced skills in C# programming with thorough understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery processes utilizing Git-based source control and build tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience deploying applications using tools such as Octopus Deploy or similar deployment automation platforms.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
- Proven experience working with cloud services, particularly AWS platform.
- Awareness and practical knowledge of DevOps tools and principles, along with security best practices relevant to development environments.

This position is full-time and based onsite in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The candidate must be adept at working collaboratively in a DevOps culture and contribute towards streamlining build and deployment pipelines.
