Role overview

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain technical records such as design reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Take part in project discussions and provide guidance to project teams.
  • Support project proposal preparation, including estimates and schedules.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers through learning material and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with multinational clients and site engineers, including responses to technical queries.

Requirements

  • A diploma in Civil Engineering or a B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering is required, with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or structural engineering also relevant for assessment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in offshore oil and gas projects is required.
  • Strong hands-on experience in modelling and analysing steel and reinforced concrete structures, including foundations, using industry software such as STAAD Pro and SACS; knowledge of Mathcad is also expected, while Ansys and Abaqus are advantageous.
  • Practical experience in preparing design calculation sheets for reinforced concrete and steel structures using codes and standards.
  • Exposure to Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Solid understanding of civil and structural codes such as API, AISC, ACI, and Eurocodes.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, a proactive mindset, positive attitude, problem-solving ability, decision-making ability, self-motivation, and strong work ethics.
  • Candidates should be open to relocation to Bangalore.
