Lead Java Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to architect and maintain highly scalable enterprise applications primarily utilizing Java and Spring Boot frameworks. This position involves designing microservices and RESTful APIs to support high-traffic distributed systems while driving architecture decisions during High-Level Design sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Create and enhance microservices-based systems and REST APIs for distributed, high-volume environments.
• Engage in High-Level Design discussions and contribute to architectural planning.
• Investigate, debug, and resolve complex issues impacting production, system performance, and availability.
• Conduct thorough code reviews ensuring quality, security, scalability, and reliability standards.
• Implement event-driven architecture patterns leveraging messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Assist in CI/CD pipeline support and deployment automation processes.
• Optimize applications through effective use of data structures, algorithms, and design principles.
• Contribute to development of cloud-native applications and container orchestration deployments.

Required Skills and Experience

• In-depth knowledge of Core Java concepts including Collections, Multithreading, Concurrency, memory management, and JVM internals.
• Hands-on experience with Spring ecosystem including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
• Proven capability to design and implement microservices and RESTful web services.
• Expertise in Object-Oriented Programming, adherence to SOLID principles, and usage of design patterns.
• Experience designing scalable distributed system architectures.
• Strong debugging, root cause analysis, and production incident resolution skills.
• Practical experience with event-streaming platforms like Kafka.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps processes including Git, Jenkins.
• Experience containerizing applications using Docker and orchestrating with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
