About the Role
Save the Children International is seeking a Lead for IT Change & Interventions to join their global team, focusing on developing and configuring digital business systems supporting SCI and its members. This key role is responsible for maintaining application portfolios, developing systems in line with business needs, and enabling organizational impact for children. The position operates in partnership with Transformation Delivery and business functions to oversee application development and change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead IT components of transformation initiatives, including testing, cut over, and data migration activities.
- Partner with project leadership to define testing strategies, scope, and scenarios, taking an active role in test delivery as needed.
- Manage IT projects outside the transformation portfolio, such as Citrix migration or Microsoft shared tenancy implementation, ensuring governance and appropriate testing methods.
- Assess, prioritize, and manage complex Change Requests (CRs), including financial oversight, resource and stakeholder management, and governance adherence.
- Contribute to IT planning and delivery oversight, developing and monitoring product roadmaps aligned with delivery timelines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, dedicating up to 20% of time to process enhancements including tooling use, methodology improvements, and establishing a testing community of practice.
- Ensure alignment with IT capabilities and leadership to promote a cohesive approach to managing IT interventions.
- Work cross-functionally to manage dependencies, resolve conflicts, and support integrated delivery across teams.
- Apply project management best practices across hybrid delivery models, serving as an escalation point for change-related issues and dependencies.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive experience managing large, complex IT environments with operational change responsibility.
- Proven expertise in test methodologies, approaches, strategies, and scope definition with risk-based testing perspectives.
- Experience in IT change requests, release management, or technology roadmap delivery, utilizing structured approaches adaptable to operational constraints.
- Ability to assess IT change impacts, support business case development, prioritization, and sequencing.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as ITIL, Agile, DevOps—demonstrated ability to apply governance and hold teams accountable.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across global and senior levels in matrix organizations.
- Mentoring and coaching capabilities to build IT team capacities without formal line management responsibility.
- Experience delivering projects in dynamic environments with rapid change and high standards.
- Project management expertise across hybrid delivery models.
Preferred Qualifications
- Non-profit and international development project experience.
- Additional language skills: French, Spanish, or Arabic.
- Relevant certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, ScrumMaster, or Agile Certified Practitioner.
- Continuous professional development in technology management and leadership.
- ITIL or related IT service management certifications are advantageous.

- Reports to Director Technology Strategy & Transformation.
- Work is hybrid/remote with flexible options; location can be any approved SCI office worldwide.
- English language proficiency required.
- Permanent contract with global remit.
