Lead Data Scientist

Role Overview

We seek an experienced Lead Data Scientist to spearhead the creation and implementation of advanced computer vision systems, focusing on tasks such as object detection, tracking, identification, action recognition, and segmentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms including object detection, tracking, re-identification, action recognition, and segmentation.
• Steer selection and experimentation with cutting-edge models like YOLO, Vision Transformer (ViT) architectures, and RF-DETR.
• Develop and guide the application of Vision-Language Models (VLMs), including their fine-tuning for specific tasks.
• Manage optimization of models for production environments using tools such as TensorRT, ONNX, and OpenVINO, ensuring efficiency within edge AI constraints like latency, frame rate, and GPU usage.
• Oversee the complete MLOps lifecycle from development to deployment, providing leadership, mentoring team members, conducting code reviews, and shaping solution architecture as well as interacting with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related disciplines; a PhD is advantageous.
• 10 to 15 years of practical experience in machine learning, with a strong specialization in deep computer vision.
• Proficiency in Python programming with extensive hands-on experience using PyTorch and TensorFlow frameworks.
• Practical expertise with YOLO, Vision Transformer (ViT) architectures, RF-DETR, and fine-tuning Vision-Language Models.
• Proven leadership abilities including managing teams, mentoring junior staff, and effective communication with stakeholders regarding solution design.
