Overview
The EMEA Regulatory Litigation group operates within the larger EMEA Disputes division and handles Meta's defense against regulatory authorities across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Turkey. This fast-moving, high-profile environment manages precedent-setting regulatory investigations and litigation. This role offers the opportunity to engage with innovative regulatory issues alongside a top-tier legal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a diverse range of privacy-centered regulatory cases throughout the EU by defending against large-scale enforcement from European Supervisory Authorities, addressing regulatory inquiries and investigations, ensuring compliance with regulatory rulings, and managing appeals or judicial reviews before courts or administrative bodies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to devise and execute strategic solutions that address regulatory and litigation risks effectively.
- Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders including Product, Business, and Policy teams.
- Supervise relationships with external counsel, managing budgets, strategy implementation, and reporting.
- Leverage AI technologies such as document review, regulatory research, and workflow automation to enhance efficiency and develop internal regulatory procedures and playbooks.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five years qualified experience within a top law firm or an in-house legal department.
- Strong knowledge of privacy and content regulation.
- Skilled in translating intricate legal concepts into straightforward guidance suitable for non-legal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently.

- Experience in implementing ethical and responsible AI practices, including risk assessments and bias mitigation.
- A self-motivated individual passionate about technology, thriving in rapidly changing environments.
- Proven track record of integrating AI tools to improve workflows, driving efficiency and quality improvements.
- Capability to manage numerous concurrent projects by coordinating deadlines, stakeholders, and maintaining organized records.
- Exceptional communication abilities to advise and build collaborative relationships across management and various teams.
- Commitment to continual AI skill development and awareness of emerging technologies.
