Lead Business Central Solution Designer

About the Role

We are partnering with a reputable Microsoft partner based in Auckland seeking a senior expert in Business Central to lead solution design across multiple customer projects. This role emphasizes the importance of strategic solution architecture as AI increasingly automates much of the development work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct discovery and design sessions with clients to translate business challenges into effective Business Central solutions.
• Take full accountability for project architecture, managing processes from initial workshops through to deployment.
• Create and design system integrations between Business Central, Azure, and the Power Platform.
• Mentor and guide developers and consultants, ensuring high-quality deliverables and elevating team standards.
• Stay updated and educate the team on the latest developments including AL programming, extensions, DevOps practices, and Copilot functionalities in Business Central.

Candidate Profile and Skills

• Extensive technical experience with Business Central or NAV, ideally having held lead, principal, or architect roles.
• Proven track record of ownership in solution design rather than just development execution.
• Practical experience integrating Business Central with Azure and Power Platform is highly preferred.
• Capability to confidently represent the senior technical expert role in client discussions.
• Experience with Business Central ISV solutions or AI features such as Copilot is advantageous.

Location and Additional Details

This position is based in Auckland with expectations for regular in-office presence. Candidates located outside New Zealand with in-depth knowledge of the New Zealand market are also welcome to apply, although no relocation assistance will be provided.
