Role Overview

As a Senior Applied Value Engineer, you will be at the forefront of addressing complex, mission-critical business challenges for our top strategic global clients. Your role involves analyzing client strategies and operational difficulties to design and develop customized, domain-specific use cases. You will build and prototype innovative AI and technical solutions using the Celonis platform, showcase their business benefits to executive stakeholders, and champion successful deployment, adoption, and realization of value.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the foremost expert on Celonis products and domain positioning, translating intricate client needs and domain knowledge into precise enterprise solutions.
• Lead technical discovery phases to architect and build bespoke, cutting-edge AI solutions addressing nuanced operational challenges.
• Guide the full lifecycle of Proof-of-Value projects, designing secure, scalable Large Language Model (LLM) and agent systems integrating advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and tool functionalities while ensuring strict compliance with enterprise data and identity governance.
• Act as a trusted advisor for strategic accounts, continuously driving value realization, adoption milestones, and transformative operational improvements.
• Leverage deep domain and industry expertise to develop end-to-end AI-driven solutions, codifying methodologies into reusable assets and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in executive-facing presales and value engineering with a track record of technical ownership, complex ROI/TCO modeling, and delivering AI transformation projects through to realized value.
• Extensive knowledge of critical operational workflows and industry sectors such as supply chain and finance, proficient in communicating at the C-suite level and linking systemic challenges to AI solutions.
• Advanced expertise in AI system architectures including LLM orchestration, tool use and function calling, RAG, prompt engineering, and agentic workflow patterns.
• Strong background in mathematics and operations research including linear and nonlinear optimization, statistical analysis, reinforcement learning, and predictive forecasting.
• Hands-on experience with production-level ML/LLMOps architectures and standards on major cloud platforms including AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, and Google Vertex AI.
• Proficient in software and data engineering with Python programming, modular API design, library development, advanced SQL, and ML/AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, and Hugging Face.
• Proven capability to architect secure enterprise cloud systems with compliance to identity and access management, data governance, privacy legislation, and security protocols.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to internal teams and executives, capable of leading whiteboard sessions, formal demos, and business discussions in flawless English.
• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
