Lawyer | Associate - Property & Projects

About the Role and Team

We are seeking a Lawyer or Associate to join our esteemed Property & Projects team within our Sydney office. The role offers an extensive scope of work collaborating with leading partners focusing on sectors such as social infrastructure, renewable energy projects, property funds, and public sector clients.

• Provide legal advice to community housing providers and other key stakeholders on development agreements, funding mechanisms, and project delivery frameworks.
• Assist with land assembly aspects of renewable energy projects, including negotiating land access agreements, easements, and options related to solar, wind, and battery storage developments.
• Collaborate with the HW Funds team on property acquisitions, disposals, and conducting due diligence.
• Support public sector clients at both state and Commonwealth levels with a variety of property-related requirements.

This role involves complex, engaging, and collaborative work, supported by a national Property & Projects team of around 120 professionals committed to delivering exceptional client service.

Candidate Profile

• Possess between 2 to 4 years of post-admission experience in real estate and/or projects law within reputable mid to large-sized firms.
• Experience or strong interest in sectors including social infrastructure, energy and renewables, or property funds.
• Ability to manage demands from multiple partners across various jurisdictions effectively.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Exemplary technical, analytical, and drafting capabilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Dedicated to providing outstanding client service with strong client relationship management abilities.
• Commercially minded approach to achieving pragmatic legal solutions.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage workload efficiently.
