Position Overview
As a Laundry Utility team member, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment by ensuring all linens are impeccably clean and maintained according to the highest standards of luxury hospitality. Your contributions will ensure guests enjoy a memorable experience, encouraging their return.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, friendly, and professional service to both internal and external guests.
- Anticipate guest and colleague needs to provide attentive service.
- Build positive, collaborative relationships across departments for seamless service delivery.
- Adhere strictly to sanitation and cleanliness protocols including ALL Safe – Stay Well and Accor quality standards.
- Handle guest and colleague requests diligently following brand procedures.
- Support company policies and participate actively in initiatives related to employee engagement, health and safety, and guest feedback.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas through dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and waste removal.
- Operate laundry machinery such as ironers, dryers, and towel folding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort and separate soiled linens; inspect and remove damaged or stained items from circulation.
- Report any equipment malfunctions promptly to the supervisor or manager.
- Transport laundry carts and bins properly once packed.
- Load and unload laundry machines and ensure correct operation.
- Manage lost and found items by tagging and submitting them to Housekeeping Office.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in compliance with hotel standards.
- Work scheduled weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous laundry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Effective oral and written communication in English.
- Secondary education is advantageous but not essential.
- Basic cleaning knowledge is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing to meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with an outgoing personality and a self-driven work ethic.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Continuous standing and walking during shifts.
- Capacity to lift objects up to 60 lbs frequently.
- Ability to push or pull weights up to 150 lbs.
- Frequent work involving reaching above shoulder height, kneeling, and climbing stairs or ladders.
