Role Overview
This full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi involves performing steam ironing and pressing tasks on a variety of garments and linens. Key duties require sorting textiles by fabric type, expertly managing steam irons and pressing tools, regulating heat and steam levels, and ensuring finished products are crease-free and undamaged. The operator will adhere strictly to safety protocols, keep the workspace orderly, report equipment malfunctions promptly, and collaborate with washing and packaging teams to maintain timely delivery schedules. Working within a team environment under supervisory guidance, the role demands meeting established quality and productivity benchmarks.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hands-on experience in laundry processes, particularly steam ironing and fabric handling across multiple garment types.
- Proficient in the safe operation and maintenance of steam irons and pressing machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring high standards of garment finish and minimal rework.
- Physical fitness to stand for long hours, perform repetitive tasks, and manage moderate manual handling.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety, hygiene standards, and proper use of heat- and chemical-based equipment.
- Dependable, punctual, able to follow instructions, and collaborate effectively in team settings.
- Prior exposure to commercial laundry, hospitality laundry services, or dry-cleaning preferred.
- Communication skills in English or widely spoken UAE languages preferred; openness to learning company-specific protocols is essential.
