Job description
Job Overview
This role is responsible for managing residents’ personal laundry tasks including labeling, washing, drying, folding, sorting, and hanging their belongings. Additionally, the role includes distribution of standard laundry items laundered by an external contractor. Delivering clean linens and clothing to the floors while maintaining excellent customer service is essential. Maintaining a tidy work environment is also required.

- Participate fully in all mandatory meetings and training sessions, including reorientation programs.
- Strictly follow all organizational policies, procedures, and codes of conduct, such as dress code compliance.
- Adhere to all health and safety standards, requirements, and regulations, and promote safety awareness by identifying and reporting or addressing potential hazards.
- Comply with HIPAA and other relevant regulatory and compliance standards, completing all required internal and external training or certifications.
- Carry out additional related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Education and Skills Requirements
- Possession of a High School diploma, GED, or the capacity to successfully pass a written TABE test.
- Effective English communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and understand instructions clearly.
- Capability to follow straightforward oral and written directions.
- Strong customer service orientation and attentiveness in managing residents' clothing.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of the work shift.
- Capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent performance of physical activities such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, twisting, turning, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Supervision
Work is performed under the supervision and monitoring of Support Service Supervisors or Managers.
