Laundry Attendant

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to operate and oversee various laundry machinery including washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment. Responsibilities include adding appropriate chemicals, cleaning lint traps, identifying stained or torn linens for processing or disposal, and ensuring all items meet cleanliness standards after laundering.

Key Duties

• Operate washing, drying, and dry cleaning machines while monitoring their performance.
• Add suitable chemicals and maintain cleanliness of lint traps and filters.
• Inspect items for stains or damage and decide whether to repair, treat, rewash, or discard.
• Sort clean linens into designated carts and correctly fold them manually or by machine.
• Maintain precise records of laundered items.
• Perform safety checks on tools and equipment, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.
• Adhere strictly to company policies related to safety, security, appearance, and confidentiality.
• Support coworkers to achieve team objectives and provide effective communication.
• Engage in physical activities including reaching, bending, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, moving through confined spaces, and walking or standing for lengthy durations.
• Carry out any additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

No formal high school certification is required, and prior related work or supervisory experience is not necessary. No licenses or certifications are needed.
