Job description
Position Overview
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for efficiently operating and overseeing laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, and dry cleaning units. Responsibilities include applying chemicals, cleaning lint traps, inspecting garments for stains or damage, and determining whether to repair, spot treat, rewash, or dispose of items. Proper folding of laundered articles, using either manual or machine methods, and maintaining precise records of processed linens are essential duties.
Work Environment and Safety
Adherence to company safety and security protocols is mandatory, including reporting hazards and completing required safety training. The role demands physical activity such as standing or walking extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, maneuvering in confined spaces, and navigating various types of floor surfaces and stairs.
