About the Role
Join HC One as a Laundry Assistant where kindness is central to every action you take. This position supports our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes by ensuring residents’ personal clothing and linen are impeccably maintained. You will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing, and repairing garments, while also organizing linen stock for daily use. Attention to detail and maintaining a safe, orderly laundry environment are key aspects of this role.
Your duties will include folding and separating laundry for redistribution to residents' rooms, all carried out with empathy and respect. Pride in high-quality work and creating a well-kept atmosphere contribute to improving the well-being and happiness of our residents.
Requirements
We value candidates with prior experience in laundry services but are willing to provide comprehensive training. Essential skills include excellent time management, organizational abilities, effective communication, and the capacity to work kindly and considerately with residents and colleagues. Safeguarding knowledge is crucial; you must be able to identify signs of abuse or neglect and know how to report concerns appropriately. All team members must attend safeguarding and other related training.
