LaTeX Typesetter

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and meticulous LaTeX Typesetter to join our editorial and publication team at RGN Publications. This role involves preparing, formatting, and typesetting scientific and research documents including articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings using LaTeX tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Typeset research articles, journal submissions, book chapters, and conference documents using LaTeX.
• Convert manuscripts into LaTeX format as necessary.
• Apply journal-specific LaTeX templates and formatting standards.
• Manage bibliographic references using BibTeX or BibLaTeX, ensuring correct citation styles.
• Accurately format and position figures, tables, equations, captions, and cross-references.
• Create print-ready and publication-quality PDF outputs.
• Scrutinize manuscripts for errors related to typography, formatting, and typesetting.
• Incorporate feedback and corrections from authors, editors, and peer reviewers.
• Collaborate effectively with the editorial team to meet deadlines.
• Maintain consistency across fonts, headings, styles, page layouts, references, and equations.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in LaTeX and scientific document preparation.
• Experience with TeX editing environments.
• Familiar with mathematical and scientific notations.
• Knowledgeable in managing bibliographies with BibTeX/BibLaTeX.
• Adept at handling complex tables, figures, equations, and cross-referencing.
• Strong English language skills and high attention to detail.
• Capable of troubleshooting LaTeX compilation and formatting issues.
• Comfortable with MS Word and PDF document management.

Preferred Experience: Background in academic, scientific, or journal publishing, or experience with publishing houses, XML/HTML production, and journal workflows is advantageous.

Additional Information

• Work type: Full-time, on-site at Shastri Nagar, Delhi 110052.
• Working hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Salary range: INR 17,000 to 25,000 per month.
• Number of openings: 5 vacancies.
• Interview timings: Scheduled for Saturday and Sunday of the current week; candidates should be available on these days.
• Only candidates located in Delhi/NCR will be considered.
