Role Summary
The Landscape Engineer will oversee the design, planning, and supervision of construction and upkeep of exterior spaces such as gardens, parks, and landscaped areas. Daily duties include drafting technical drawings and plans, choosing suitable materials and plants, coordinating with contractors and on-site teams, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. This role also involves conducting inspections, tracking project progress, troubleshooting on-site challenges, and enhancing systems like irrigation, drainage, and structural elements to ensure sustainability and durability. The position is full-time and requires on-site presence in Doha, Qatar, working closely with designers, project managers, and clients to deliver projects within set timelines and budgets.
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in landscape design and engineering, including site planning, grading, and integrating both hardscape and softscape components.
- Proficiency with CAD or similar design software to produce precise drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Knowledge of irrigation, drainage, soil systems, and regional plant species, with an understanding of sustainable landscaping techniques.
- Experience coordinating projects—including scheduling, managing resources, and collaborating with contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; keen attention to detail; and a focus on safety and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Preferably holds a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in landscape engineering or construction projects, especially within the Middle East, is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively on-site in Doha, communicate proficiently in English, and adapt within diverse teams and working environments.
