Key Responsibilities

• Lead site surveying and setting-out verification as directed by the Resident Engineer/Construction Director.
• Oversee and coordinate Parsons' survey team and review contractor surveys to ensure project compliance and accuracy.
• Validate control points, benchmarks, and reference coordinates against official project datums and grids.
• Verify contractor settings regarding alignment, levels, coordinates, and dimensions across roads, utilities, structures, and landscaping.
• Perform independent spot checks and surveys ensuring construction matches approved plans within tolerance thresholds.
• Analyze and comment on contractor survey documentation including reports, layout, as-built, and topographic surveys for consistency and completeness.
• Identify discrepancies between design and site conditions, aiding resolution of setting-out issues.
• Coordinate survey efforts with engineers across multiple disciplines to prevent clashes and ensure interface alignment.
• Manage proper use, calibration, and safety of survey equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS devices, levels, and lasers.
• Maintain systematic digital and hard-copy archives of survey data, notes, and as-built information for project reference and handover.
• Support earthwork quantity verification and volumetric measurements to assist commercial and quantity survey teams.
• Participate in meetings, offering survey-related insights and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment (HSE) standards and Parsons quality procedures in all survey activities.
• Help prepare and review final as-built drawings and survey records for client and authority submission.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
• Significant experience in land or engineering surveying on large infrastructure, public realm, or urban development projects, including leadership roles.
• Proficient use of modern surveying technologies including total stations, GPS/GNSS, digital levels, and data processing software.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Strong understanding of surveying principles, coordinate systems, leveling, and construction setting-out for civil, structural, and landscape works.
• Demonstrated capability in a site-based construction supervision environment, examining contractor setting-out and as-built data.
• Competency in reading and interpreting engineering, architectural, and utility drawings for precise field layout.
• High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and thorough record-keeping focused on accuracy and quality.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is an advantage.
