Job description
About Hickinbotham
Hickinbotham is South Australia's premier residential building and land development company with over seven decades of family ownership. We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-centric Land Sales Coordinator to assist with land sales releases and ensure a seamless purchasing experience.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Land Development Manager, you will serve as a vital connection between the land team, sales consultants, clients, and stakeholders involved in contract settlements. Your responsibilities include maintaining accurate sales information, coordinating release details, and ensuring follow-up on enquiries and unresolved matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and assist with managing land sales releases by handling release scheduling, lot availability, pricing, plans, and related sales documentation.
- Provide current and precise information to both internal and external sales consultants regarding upcoming and ongoing releases.
- Track reservations, sales activities, release progress, and maintain registers and schedules accordingly.
- Identify potential challenges affecting releases, contracts, or settlements and escalate promptly.
- Act as a responsive liaison for sales consultants regarding lot details, pricing, releases, and sales procedures.
- Coordinate enquiries, reservations, and necessary data for contract preparation.
- Deliver clear, professional information to prospective purchasers and clients.
- Follow up on outstanding enquiries, collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues, and escalate complex concerns when required.
- Manage contract administration by preparing, issuing, and monitoring land sale contracts per company policies.
- Collaborate with sales consultants, conveyancers, solicitors, and internal teams to facilitate contract progression.
- Monitor contract milestones including signed agreements, documents, deposits, and variations.
- Verify sales and purchaser records for accuracy and coordinate necessary corrections.
- Support the process through settlement completion.
- Maintain precise sales records, databases, and correspondence.
- Generate reports on land releases, sales performance, and contract statuses.
- Highlight areas needing attention, identify workflow blockages, and recommend actions.
- Seek practical improvements for communication, administrative processes, and customer experience enhancement.
Candidate Profile
While experience in land sales or the property sector is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Candidates from backgrounds such as sales support, administration, or customer service who have managed detailed coordination and facilitated efficient information exchange will thrive. Essential attributes include:
- Exceptional attention to detail with confidence in handling dynamic records.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills coupled with a professional and responsive customer service approach.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues, and external contacts.
- Motivation to understand the land sales process, assume responsibility, and ensure tasks are followed through to completion.
Work Culture
At Hickinbotham, we prioritize high-performing individuals who care deeply about quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Our Lean methodology encourages early identification and resolution of issues to enhance customer and team experiences.
If you are passionate about supporting a dynamic land development operation and delivering excellent customer service, we welcome your application.
