Job description
Job Overview
The role involves crafting bespoke, high-fashion ethnic women’s clothing with a focus on precise sewing and finishing techniques.
Main Responsibilities
- Sew women’s garments such as blouses, lehengas, kurtas, gowns, sari blouses, and other outfits as per design specifications.
- Ensure accurate fitting and finishing tailored to client measurements.
- Work according to the guidance from masters and the design team.
- Perform necessary alterations and corrections after fittings.
- Handle expensive and delicate fabrics like silk, Banarasi, tissue, and crepe with care.
- Pay special attention while sewing garments featuring embroidery, embellishments, and handwork.
- Complete orders punctually, especially during peak seasons and exhibitions.
- Take responsibility for the quality and finishing of fabrics and finished garments.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in sewing designer or boutique women’s garments.
- Good understanding of fitting and finishing techniques.
- Ability to work quickly with neatness and precision.
- Preference for candidates with experience handling bespoke and high-end garments.
- Capability to manage increased workload and meet tight deadlines during seasonal peaks.
