Job description
Position Overview
The Research and Development Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting color matching and product development experiments as per the Laboratory Manager's directives. This role also involves maintaining the shade panel library to ensure customers and sales teams receive panel samples promptly.
Reporting Structure
- Functional supervision by Laboratory Manager and QC Leader for Powder Coating in UAE.
- Administrative oversight by the Business Director, General Industrial TMEA.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct various experiments, including color matching, product enhancement, raw material evaluation, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Prepare powder coating samples for customer line trials.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained and operational, and keep the laboratory area organized and clean.
- Manage the panel library and promptly dispatch sample panels to customers or sales representatives.
- Respond to sales team panel requests efficiently.
Skills and Knowledge Required
- Expertise in powder chemical properties and applications.
- Understanding of technology and safety management principles.
- Knowledge of equipment standard operating procedures and resource management.
- Ability to comprehend different viewpoints and collaborate effectively.
- Competence in planning and executing experiments to meet defined objectives using laboratory resources.
- Experience operating lab equipment while adhering to safety standards.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
