Role Overview
Kitchen Porters are vital team members who ensure chefs have the necessary support to deliver quality service to guests. This role is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for individuals eager to develop experience within a kitchen environment.
Working Hours and Remuneration
This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, offering an annual salary of 3,511.80. Shift schedules may involve a combination of day, evening, weekend, and bank holiday work. Typical shifts could be 07:00 - 15:30, 09:00 - 17:30, or 15:30 - 00:00.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage dishwashing duties ensuring all crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils are thoroughly cleaned.
- Safely store clean dishes and kitchen items.
- Dispose of food and general waste per kitchen guidelines.
- Maintain organization in bin storage areas.
- Uphold high standards of kitchen cleanliness including regular sweeping and mopping of floors.
- Adapt to various kitchen roles as needed.
- Contribute to a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for guests and colleagues.
Candidate Requirements
- Adherence to exceptional hygiene standards is mandatory.
- Possession of an elementary food hygiene certificate is advantageous.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Good organizational abilities.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts across weekdays and weekends.
