Role Overview
As a Kitchen Porter, you will be a key support member ensuring the kitchen's cleanliness and smooth operation. Reporting to the Back of House Manager, your duties will focus on maintaining high hygiene standards and organizing the kitchen and back rooms effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Work swiftly to assist kitchen operations efficiently.
- Maintain a spotless kitchen environment, including cleaning cutlery, tableware, cooking utensils, equipment, walls, and ventilation systems.
- Keep the back of house and pass areas tidy and prepared for service.
- Prepare food stations and ensure readiness for meal preparation.
- Receive and organize food and equipment deliveries.
- Follow health and safety standards rigorously to maintain a safe workspace.
- Manage waste according to company policies for storage and disposal.
- Support the opening and closing duties of culinary areas securely.
- Assist in general upkeep and maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities.
