About Phyllis Court Club
Phyllis Court is an exclusive private members club located in an impressive riverside manor, encompassing 18 acres with 17 guest rooms on the River Thames in Henley-On-Thames. The club offers magnificent views of the river and surrounding countryside.
It features outstanding facilities including fine cuisine and wines, serene riverside accommodations, and a welcoming staff. It serves as an ideal venue for socialising with friends and colleagues, notably hosting the annual Henley Regatta as a key event.
Role Overview
Under the direction of the Head Chef, the Kitchen Porter will maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment, ensuring they are prepared and safe for use.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, floors, and kitchen equipment promptly and hygienically as instructed.
- Keep all surfaces orderly and clean to help prevent potential safety hazards.
- Safely operate and maintain the dish machine, adhering to stringent hygiene protocols.
- Observe Health and Safety at Work as well as Hygiene regulations, reporting any concerns to the Head Chef, Senior Sous Chefs, or Head of Operations.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene in line with Club policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
- Flexibility to work across various kitchen sections with broad kitchen knowledge.
- Clear and effective communication abilities.
- Well-organised and capable of coping under pressure.
- Team-oriented with a positive, friendly, and proactive approach.
Employment Details
This is a permanent role requiring 40 hours weekly, covering shifts in mornings, evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays. The annual salary is £28,392.
