Kitchen Porter

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team at BaxterStorey Ireland, based at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, The Marina, Ballintemple, Co. Cork. This is a full-time, permanent position offering 39 working hours per week, typically spread over 5 days within a 7-day period. The role may require occasional work at other company locations within Cork.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning dishes, utensils, and kitchenware manually and with industrial dishwasher equipment
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen surfaces, preparation areas, and disposing of waste correctly
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients
• Helping with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen inventory and supplies
• Adhering to health and safety standards while ensuring kitchen equipment is operating properly
• Managing the flow of goods into and out of the kitchen

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to endure physical activity including standing for long periods and lifting heavy items
• Strong attention to detail and following instructions accurately
• Basic understanding of kitchen tools and hygiene standards is beneficial
• Effective communication and ability to collaborate within a team
