About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team at our Towcester location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for maintaining an orderly and hygienic kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment manually or using industrial dishwashers.
- Manage deliveries by organizing and reallocating stock within the site.
- Maintain thorough cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen surfaces, worktops, and food prep areas; manage waste disposal responsibly.
- Assist culinary staff with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
- Help receive, store, and organize kitchen inventory to ensure readiness and availability.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety standards to maintain a safe and well-organized kitchen environment.
Requirements
- No formal qualifications required, though a high school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
- Capable of standing for long periods and handling physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy items.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Basic understanding of kitchen tools and hygiene practices is beneficial.
- Effective communication and collaborative skills to work well within a team setting.
