Kitchen Helper

Role Overview

The Kitchen Helper assists chefs and cooks with a range of food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients and kitchen areas meet hygiene and safety standards. This role involves preparing vegetables, meats, and other components as per standard recipes, supporting various meal preparations including wraps, burgers, shawarma, rice dishes, snacks, and beverages.

Key Responsibilities

• Support food preparation activities by washing, cutting, peeling, and readying vegetables, chicken, and other ingredients.
• Prepare ingredients following the café's standardized recipes and portion sizes precisely.
• Help in making various dishes such as wraps, burgers, shawarma, rice meals, snacks, and drinks as required.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene by cleaning workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment regularly.
• Wash and sanitize all kitchen tools including vessels and cutting boards, adhering to safety protocols.
• Ensure proper storage of raw materials in compliance with FIFO inventory principles and check ingredient freshness and quality before use.
• Assist in stock inventory management by counting supplies and notifying supervisors about shortages or damages.
• Adhere to food safety standards, personal hygiene, and kitchen workplace safety guidelines consistently.
• Participate in all opening and closing kitchen duties to ensure smooth operation.
• Minimize food wastage by responsibly utilizing ingredients and maintaining organization during peak kitchen hours.
• Provide assistance to chefs and other kitchen personnel whenever needed, following the directives of the Kitchen Supervisor or Manager while maintaining workplace discipline.

Additional Information

This is a full-time role based in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, with a monthly salary of INR 20000. Candidates should be prepared for an in-person position at the café premises.
