About the Role

Clutha Views Lifecare & Village, situated in the scenic South Otago town of Balclutha, has an exciting opening for a permanent Part-Time Kitchen Assistant. This role involves 16 hours per week, with shifts covering mornings, afternoons, and weekends. We are seeking an individual with a passion for culinary work who is eager to positively impact the lives of our residents. The ideal candidate will possess a positive, can-do attitude, understand the importance of good food for well-being, and excel at interpersonal interactions.

Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Assistant at Clutha Lifecare, your primary duty will be to assist in preparing wholesome and nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring all individual dietary needs are meticulously met. Reliability and a willingness to support the team are essential.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in catering and food service, preferably within a commercial kitchen setting. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for food preparation and delivering an outstanding dining experience.
  • Proficiency in communication, interpersonal skills, and effective time management.
  • A sincere desire to help others, coupled with excellent customer service abilities and a cheerful, positive demeanor.
  • Proven ability to maintain high standards of quality in your work.
