Role Overview
Join our Global Trading Applications team as a Kdb+/Q Engineer, where you will architect and develop data analytics platforms crucial to trading and quantitative research across worldwide markets. Collaborate intimately with traders, quantitative researchers, and software engineers to create high-efficiency solutions handling both real-time and historic market data on a massive scale. This position involves managing a substantial Kdb+/Q environment essential to trading, research, and analytics workflows.
Responsibilities
- Create and enhance high-performance Kdb+/Q systems supporting real-time research, streaming analytics, and global trading operations.
- Work closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and engineers to supply technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Design scalable approaches to large-scale market data, time-series analytics, and distributed computing problems.
- Influence the architecture and ongoing development of the Global Trading Applications platform servicing trading, data, and analytics workflows across the company.
- Promote engineering excellence through deliberate system design, automation, and best operational practices.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience delivering production-grade applications utilizing Kdb+/Q at scale.
- Background in assembling market data, analytics, electronic trading, or quantitative research systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and distributed systems.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and front-office stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
