Position Overview
The Junior Stores Officer position is a full-time, on-site role located in Accra. This role supports streamlined management of restaurant inventory and supplies. Daily responsibilities involve receiving and verifying deliveries, updating inventory records, organizing storage spaces, and assisting with routine stocktaking. The officer prepares purchase requests, monitors inventory levels, and reports discrepancies or shortages to senior personnel promptly. Collaboration with kitchen and service teams is key to ensure timely availability of ingredients and materials. The role also requires adherence to safety and hygiene standards while maintaining accurate documentation for audits and internal control purposes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in managing Stock Control and Inventory Control operations.
- Experience in Stock Management and Inventory Management for precise item tracking and organization.
- Understanding of Purchase Order processes, including preparation and supplier coordination.
- Basic knowledge of storekeeping or warehouse management, ideally within hospitality or food service sectors.
- Strong attention to detail, numeracy competency, and familiarity with inventory software or spreadsheets.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with kitchen, purchasing, and management teams.
- Capability to work onsite in Accra, perform physical tasks such as lifting and arranging stock, and comply with safety and hygiene protocols.
- Senior high school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational or higher education in supply chain, logistics, or related fields is a plus.
