Junior Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, and upkeep of software applications and systems.
• Produce clean, efficient, and well-maintained code.
• Engage in code reviews and absorb best practices from experienced engineers.
• Diagnose and resolve software bugs and issues.
• Work closely with teams across product management, design, and quality assurance.
• Participate in discussions about software design and assist with implementation strategies.
• Enhance and maintain current codebases.
• Assist in deployment activities and monitor application performance to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience ranging from zero to two years in software development, including internship engagements.
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++.
• Fundamental knowledge of software engineering concepts and data structures.
• Experience with version control tools like Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and ability to collaborate within a team environment.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with front-end and back-end web development frameworks, including React, Angular, or Node.js.
• Understanding of database technologies, either SQL or NoSQL.
• Knowledge of RESTful API development and microservices architecture principles.
• Experience or exposure to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Awareness of Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
