About Digitas Germany
Digitas is among Germany's largest digital agencies and part of the global Digitas network within the Publicis Groupe, a leading international communications provider. With over 550 specialists across Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, and Munich, Digitas bridges marketing and technology expertise to create meaningful impacts, enhancing brand relevance in a fragmented digital landscape and accelerating business growth.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior SEO Manager (all genders) to join our Berlin team, with alternatives to work from Düsseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, or Hamburg. In this role, you will assist in analyzing, designing, and implementing SEO and GEO/AI-SEO strategies for both national and international clients. Collaborating closely with SEO, data, content, and technical professionals, you will gradually evolve into a strategic advisor in organic search and generative visibility.
Responsibilities
- Support SEO and GEO/AI-SEO analyses, audits, and competitor evaluations focusing on visibility, indexing, content structures, search intent, and presence in generative search and answer systems.
- Co-develop initial recommendations with senior colleagues and assist in prioritizing actions based on relevance, effort, and potential.
- Contribute to creating and executing on-page, content, and GEO roadmaps in close coordination with internal teams.
- Monitor advancements in traditional search and generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Copilot.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, workshops, and client meetings, translating complex SEO and GEO topics into accessible formats.
- Work hands-on with common SEO, analytics, and AI-SEO tools, building an understanding of converting data into actionable optimizations.
- Actively participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, disseminate insights from testing, research, and projects, and eagerly engage in developing new topics.
Candidate Profile
- Initial professional experience in SEO, content, digital marketing, web analytics, or related fields—preferably in agencies, digital companies, or through internships and trainee roles.
- Solid foundational knowledge of SEO areas such as keyword research, content optimization, technical SEO, internal linking, site structure, and performance analysis.
- A keen interest in GEO/AI SEO as a promising future domain, with a desire to understand brand, content, and website visibility in generative search and answer platforms.
- Familiarity with SEO tools like Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SISTRIX, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, or equivalents. Experience with AI-SEO tools such as Peec AI, Otterly AI, or Rankscale is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Methodical, data-driven, and precise working style with a focus on transforming analyses into clear recommendations.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn, with enthusiasm for developments in search, AI, and automation rather than apprehension.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills characterized by openness, clarity, empathy, and enjoyment in collaborating across diverse teams.
- Proactive attitude, accountability, and ambition for both professional and personal growth. Capability to simplify complex topics and willingness to contribute actively to presentations, workshops, and client interactions in the future.
What We Offer
- A cutting-edge field bridging SEO, content, data analytics, and generative AI.
- An experienced team that supports your development and offers learning opportunities.
- Early chances to take ownership of tasks and sub-projects.
- An environment encouraging curiosity, collaboration, experimentation, and continuous learning.
- Clear career progression to manage complex SEO and GEO projects independently and grow into senior roles.
Additional Information
- Hybrid working model with two flexible remote days per week.
