About the Role
We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Junior Recruitment Consultant to become part of our expanding UK Permanent Recruitment team. This role is ideal for individuals aiming to establish a career in recruitment within a dynamic and target-focused setting. You will be tasked with sourcing and placing top-tier candidates, fostering client relationships, and generating new business prospects. Comprehensive training and continuous support will be provided, making it a perfect fit for candidates with a background in customer service or sales who want to progress into recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture relationships with both new and existing clients throughout the UK.
- Drive new business growth through proactive sales outreach and business development initiatives.
- Identify candidates by leveraging job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and advertising channels.
- Conduct screenings and interviews to evaluate candidates’ skills, experiences, and career goals.
- Match qualified candidates to suitable job openings provided by clients.
- Oversee the recruitment lifecycle from the initial job vacancy through to candidate placement.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and candidates to ensure high service standards.
- Handle negotiations related to fees, salaries, and placement agreements.
- Prepare and post job advertisements across relevant recruitment platforms.
- Perform candidate reference verifications and keep detailed, accurate records in the CRM system.
- Identify and pursue further business opportunities arising from client and candidate engagements.
- Aim to achieve individual sales targets and gross profit goals.
- Stay informed on current employment laws and best practices in recruitment.
- Participate in client meetings, networking events, and presentations as needed.
Essential Requirements
- At least 12 months’ experience in an office-based sales, recruitment, or customer service role.
- Exposure to busy office or call center environments.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Confident in making outbound business development and candidate calls.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-driven with a proactive work ethic.
- Ability to work under targets and strict deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing capabilities.
- Professional demeanor with resilience and determination.
- Willingness to travel when required.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in recruitment or telesales.
- Background in business-to-business sales.
- Possession of a degree.
- Full UK driving license.
