Junior Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Junior Platform Engineer located in Saudi Arabia to start or advance their career within infrastructure and cloud services. This position involves working hands-on with servers, operating systems, virtualization technology, cloud environments, and automation solutions while supporting daily IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support and maintenance for Windows and Linux server systems
• Monitor infrastructure health and resolve issues as they arise
• Assist with virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V
• Support cloud services platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
• Automate routine operational tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Manage networking technologies including TCP/IP protocols, DNS, and DHCP
• Create and maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and daily operations
• Work collaboratively with engineering teams to ensure reliable platform service delivery

Candidate Profile

• Possess a bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a closely related field
• Open to fresh graduates or professionals with up to two years of relevant experience
• Foundational knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems
• Understanding of core networking principles
• Basic scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator with ability to work well in teams
• Strong motivation and eagerness to expand technical knowledge

Additional Advantages

• Prior exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience or familiarity with virtualization environments like VMware or Hyper-V
• Practical experience gained from internships, academic projects, or lab work
• Understanding of infrastructure monitoring tools
