Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior Investment Analyst with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience to join our advisory team. You will directly engage in research, financial modeling, and data analysis to assist in business valuations, M&A transactions, and investment advisory projects for clients within Rwanda and Africa. The position offers an opportunity to work alongside senior professionals and gain exposure to various industries, deal types, and cross-border transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform investment research and analyze markets and industries to support advisory and deal activities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction valuations.
  • Contribute to business valuation tasks across multiple sectors and transaction types.
  • Assist with M&A projects, including due diligence, deal structuring support, and transaction documentation preparation.
  • Evaluate company financial statements, market data, and industry developments to guide investment decisions.
  • Prepare investment memorandums, pitch decks, client presentations, and advisory reports.
  • Support capital raising processes and improve investment readiness for client businesses.
  • Monitor macroeconomic, regulatory, and market trends relevant to Rwanda and Africa.
  • Help facilitate investment procedures by coordinating with clients, investors, and stakeholders at various transaction stages.
  • Maintain thorough records of research, data, and analyses to ensure quality and audit compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, accounting, and fractional CFO services on integrated client projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Between one and three years’ experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, valuation, or advisory roles.
  • Possession of or actively pursuing professional credentials like CFA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or their equivalents is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong quantitative and financial analysis capabilities with practical experience in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for modeling purposes; familiarity with data analysis platforms such as Power BI, Bloomberg, or Capital IQ is advantageous.
  • Clear understanding of investment workflows, deal facilitation, and transaction lifecycles.
  • Excellent research skills enabling the synthesis of financial, market, and industry information into understandable insights.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including report and presentation creation.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical rigor, and prudent business judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines within a dynamic advisory environment.
  • High professionalism, integrity, and commitment to client service.

What We Provide
