Role Overview

The Junior Interior Designer supports the creative development and implementation of interior design projects spanning retail, food and beverage, hospitality, and other commercial sectors. Reporting to senior designers and managers, this position involves contributing to the conceptualization, functional planning, and visual representation of design solutions in line with client objectives and brand standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conceptualize preliminary design ideas based on project briefs.
• Create mood boards, material palettes, and color schemes to establish design direction.
• Develop practical space plans and furniture layouts using AutoCAD software.
• Produce 3D models of interior spaces using Autodesk 3ds Max.
• Generate photorealistic renderings with Corona Renderer to effectively communicate design intent.
• Assist in selecting appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and decorative accents.
• Conduct research on emerging materials, products, and contemporary design trends.
• Present design concepts clearly through sketches, layouts, mood boards, and visuals.
• Manage assigned tasks in adherence to project schedules and quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Expertise

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated creativity with a solid grasp of interior design fundamentals.
• Skill in interpreting project briefs to formulate comprehensive concepts.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD for furniture layout and space planning.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk 3ds Max and Corona Renderer for 3D modeling and rendering.
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop for design presentations.
• Understanding of spatial planning, scale, proportion, color theory, materials, lighting, and visual composition.
• Strong abilities in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting setup, and rendering outputs.
• Informed about furniture types, finishes, materials, and current trends in interior design.
• Detail-oriented and capable of delivering work within deadlines.
• Positive mindset, eagerness to learn, and effective teamwork skills.

Preferred Experiences

• Up to three years of relevant professional experience.
• Background in commercial, hospitality, or retail interior design projects.
• Familiarity with technical drawings and construction details is advantageous.
• Hand or digital sketching skills are considered a plus.
• Knowledge or experience with AI-enhanced design and visualization tools is beneficial.
