Job description
Overview
A well-established insurance firm based in Qatar is seeking a Junior Underwriter specializing in general insurance. The candidate will handle various insurance products, adhere to underwriting protocols, assess risks thoroughly, and manage policy documentation efficiently.
Main Responsibilities
- Create insurance quotations, policy documents, endorsements, and manage renewals.
- Analyze and evaluate insurance proposals across general business lines.
- Assess risks to establish suitable terms, conditions, and premium rates.
- Ensure all underwriting actions comply with internal standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with brokers, clients, and internal departments to gather pertinent information.
- Provide support to claims processing, finance, and operations teams as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Between 0 to 5 years of underwriting experience within general insurance sectors.
- Preferred expertise in property, engineering, marine, liability, or other general insurance lines.
- Strong understanding of insurance market practices in Qatar.
- Competent in MS Office and insurance-related software systems.
- Possession of a valid Qatar ID along with a transferable visa or NOC.
- Availability in Qatar for interview and potential joining.
