Role Overview
This position is for a Junior Human Resources Generalist based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, serving the banking and financial services sector. The role involves supporting daily HR operations within a regulated environment, requiring familiarity with UAE employment laws and preferably with the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) compliance framework.
Key Duties
- Manage routine HR tasks including employee lifecycle activities from hiring through to exit processes.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date employee records, HR databases, and documentation.
- Assist in executing employee onboarding procedures, including joining formalities and induction programs.
- Coordinate administrative formalities such as visa processing, Emirates ID, and medical insurance for employees.
- Support payroll input, attendance tracking, leave management, and employee data reconciliation.
- Prepare HR reports, letters, certificates, and other required documents.
- Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to ensure smooth HR operations.
- Ensure all HR practices adhere strictly to UAE labor laws and CBUAE regulatory requirements.
- Assist with HR audits, compliance inspections, and periodic reporting responsibilities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and company information.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the HR team as needed.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience
- Background in banking, financial services, exchange houses, or other entities regulated by CBUAE is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of UAE Labour Law and HR compliance requirements within regulated sectors.
- Experience managing HR documentation and processes for regulatory compliance and audit purposes.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related disciplines.
- Two to four years' experience in HR generalist or HR operations roles, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong grasp of HR administration and employee lifecycle management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, attentive to detail, and able to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Capable of managing various HR tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines efficiently.
- Preferably an immediate joiner or available to start with minimal notice.
