Role Description
The role is a full-time, on-site Junior Graphic Designer position located in Fremantle, Western Australia. The designer will assist the design team by crafting visual elements for brand identities, logos, digital marketing campaigns, websites, and UI components while adhering to established brand guidelines. Key duties involve designing layouts, refining typography, contributing to illustration and icon production, and generating artwork suited for both print and digital mediums. Collaboration with senior designers and strategists is vital, as the role involves supporting concept generation and iterating designs based on feedback to refine deliverables. Responsibilities also include file preparation, conducting quality control checks, and providing basic production assistance to ensure timely and accurate delivery of creative outputs.
Qualifications
- Possess a solid grounding in graphic design principles and graphics, capable of transforming ideas into compelling visual communications.
- Experience with logo creation and brand design, adept at working within established brand systems and aiding new identity initiatives.
- Good knowledge of typography including understanding visual hierarchy, readability, and font pairing for print and digital applications.
- Proficiency in essential design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma or equivalent tools.
- A portfolio that reflects relevant projects, meticulous attention to visual details, and a proactive approach to learning within a cooperative studio environment.
- Time management skills to juggle multiple assignments, respond to creative guidance, and meet deadlines in a dynamic, on-site context.
- Relevant academic credentials in graphic design or a related field, or comparable practical experience.
