Job description
Job Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to design, build, test, and maintain secure and robust APIs for both internal use and external system integrations. The role involves working with various API protocols such as REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and webhooks to facilitate seamless communication between systems.
The developer will be responsible for creating and supporting integration flows and mediation logic, primarily using platforms like WSO2 Integrator, API Manager, and IAM, or similar API gateway technologies. Backend development involves crafting services and microservices using languages and frameworks including Java with Spring Boot, Python with Django or FastAPI, and JavaScript with Node.js/Express.
Implementation of security standards such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and SAML is essential for ensuring safe authentication and authorization. Additionally, the role requires designing efficient data models and managing integrations with a variety of databases, both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
The role also encompasses troubleshooting issues in integration layers, resolving performance problems, and addressing production incidents. Customizing and enhancing developer portals and client-facing user interfaces primarily using ReactJS is a key aspect, ensuring responsive and accessible front-end components that securely consume backend APIs. Collaboration with UX designers and clients to translate requirements into functional and well-tested interfaces is expected.
Delivery, Quality, and Documentation
The candidate will manage API versioning, monitoring, logging, and lifecycle processes. Keeping technical documentation, API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger), and integration runbooks current is required. Participation in code reviews, automated/manual testing, and continuous integration/delivery pipelines is necessary to maintain high-quality and dependable releases. Working alongside product, architecture, and partner teams—including OEM partners—to define integration requirements and delivery schedules is part of the role.
