Junior Digital Illustrator

About the Role

As a Junior Digital Illustrator at Weddings by Graph, you will be instrumental in visually crafting the unique stories of weddings through meticulous, expressive, and concept-driven digital artwork. Your core task will involve creating premium-quality digital illustrations that enhance wedding invitations, stationery, and other visual storytelling components.

Main Responsibilities

• Create between 4 to 6 detailed face portraits resembling caricatures daily for wedding invitations and related materials.
• Produce digital illustrations including caricatures, fashion and garment illustrations, backdrops, design elements, icons, and motifs needed for various projects.
• Maintain consistency and coherence in illustration style across all deliverables within a project.
• Uphold high standards of detail, quality, and accuracy in every illustration created.
• Conceptualize unique design themes and visual directions for wedding invite projects based on client briefs and cultural nuances.
• Develop mood boards, element boards, color palettes, and storyboards to clearly convey creative ideas.
• Collaborate closely with wedding, design, and motion graphics teams to refine and realize approved concepts.
• Independently manage small or similarly sized projects end-to-end, from ideation through to final execution.
• Coordinate asset development timelines and communication with design and animation teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Organize, compile, and integrate illustrated components with text and layout for smooth handoff to animators.
• Conduct quality assurance and ensure timely project completion with feedback implementation.
• Work collaboratively with specialists when necessary to handle complex asset creation.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends in weddings, illustration techniques, and design aesthetics, integrating fresh concepts into your work.
• Meet daily productivity targets with emphasis on quality and detail orientation.
• Effectively manage workload and time, adapting well under busy seasonal demands.
• Contribute to branding, packaging, and marketing illustration projects for Graph during off-peak months.
• Create visual assets and mockups for Weddings by Graph's online presence, including website and social media platforms.
• Engage actively in content creation and participate in video shoots for social media reels as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Procreate for digital illustrations.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in digital illustration, caricatures, and character design.
• Good understanding of composition, color theory, and intricate detailing.
• Basic knowledge of preparing artwork for animation readiness.
• Excellent organizational skills combined with effective time management and clear communication abilities.
• Open to receiving and incorporating constructive feedback to polish final outputs.
