Junior Design Engineer - Fresher

About the Role

Light Forms, a company specializing in architectural lighting design and manufacturing for global markets, is seeking Junior Design Engineers to join their Ludhiana office. The role focuses on developing detailed electrical, mechanical, and optical product specifications aligned with customer needs, crafting precise 3D models and engineering drawings, and defining engineering parameters to guide production and testing phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive electrical, mechanical, and optical specifications based on client requirements.
• Create detailed three-dimensional models and technical engineering drawings.
• Set product engineering goals and parameters to streamline manufacturing and product line testing processes.
• Support prototype assembly and testing activities, refining designs according to outcomes.
• Perform feasibility assessments and simulation analyses to validate design concepts.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure design integration is feasible and manufacturable.
• Assist in the development of concepts, commissioning tests, and provide installation support as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be a student or graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Some prior experience or knowledge in concept development, 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and production engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with thermal design basics including ambient temperature measurement, thermocouple attachment techniques, TC and junction temperature measurement methods.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods for mechanical components.
• Experience designing parts and assemblies with SolidWorks software.
