Junior Data Scientist

About the Role

This opportunity is offered through a partnering organization seeking a Junior Data Scientist to contribute remotely on projects centered around Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, Digital Assets, FinTech, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. The candidate will be engaged in analyzing crypto and financial datasets, constructing predictive models, detecting market trends, and developing solutions driven by data insights in the digital asset domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of datasets related to cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, financial transactions, and market data.
• Apply statistical methods, data analysis techniques, and predictive analytics to extract meaningful information.
• Develop, test, and validate machine learning models primarily using Python and SQL.
• Recognize patterns, anomalies, and market insights to support strategic business decisions.
• Assist in crypto market analytics, risk assessments, and fraud detection efforts.
• Create dashboards and visual representations of data using visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
• Perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation on large volumes of data.
• Interface with APIs, manage databases, and process real-time data streams effectively.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to enhance project outcomes.
• Document all analytical results and models clearly for reference and review.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• Proficient in Python programming and SQL for data manipulation.
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data visualization techniques.
• Experience with data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn; and visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Genuine interest in Cryptocurrency, Blockchain technology, Web3, Digital Assets, AI, and FinTech sectors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with blockchain or cryptocurrency market dynamics.
• Exposure to analyzing financial or cryptocurrency-related datasets.
• Working knowledge of APIs, cloud technologies, or time-series data analysis.
• Participation in GitHub repositories, Kaggle competitions, bootcamps, or personal projects focused on data science.
• Experience or exposure to Generative AI models or large language models (LLMs).
