Junior Data Privacy Consultant

Job Overview

We seek a Data Privacy Consultant to assist with data protection, privacy compliance, risk evaluations, and governance activities within client organizations based in Dubai, UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in deploying data privacy frameworks, policies, and procedures.
• Carry out Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy risk evaluations.
• Manage Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and inventories of personal data.
• Ensure adherence to UAE PDPL, DIFC Data Protection Law, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
• Support Privacy by Design strategies aligned with business and technology initiatives.
• Review privacy requirements and data processing agreements relating to third-party vendors.
• Assist in handling data subject rights requests, managing consents, and addressing privacy incidents.
• Help conduct privacy audits, compliance checks, and remedial activities.
• Prepare privacy-related documentation, reports, and presentations for various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, IT, Security, and business units to address privacy demands.

Candidate Profile

• 2 to 4 years’ experience in Data Privacy, Data Protection, Governance, Risk & Compliance, or Information Security.
• Working knowledge of UAE data privacy laws with preferred experience in GDPR compliance.
• Strong grasp of DPIA, RoPA, privacy risk assessments, data classification, and third-party privacy evaluations.
• Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• CIPP/E
• CIPM or CIPT
• ISO 27701
• Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE)
