About the Role

Hoc Café is seeking a dedicated and eager Junior Commis / Kitchen Helper to join our kitchen team in Mumbai. This position is ideal for individuals with fundamental cooking skills or those passionate about culinary arts and ready to develop their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily kitchen preparations and cooking activities.
• Prepare ingredients including vegetables, sauces, and other components.
• Assist in making cafe-style dishes such as burgers, sandwiches, pasta, pizzas, salads, and other continental cuisine items.
• Adhere to recipes, portion control, and kitchen standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure the kitchen maintains high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Help organize the kitchen space and manage daily inventory and prep work.
• Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team, especially during peak periods.

Candidate Requirements

• Basic cooking or kitchen work knowledge is necessary.
• Prior experience in a café or restaurant setting is a plus but not mandatory.
• Freshers possessing fundamental culinary knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• Motivation to learn our menu specifics and cooking techniques.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and sense of responsibility.
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and proper hygiene.
• Ability to function well within a team environment.

Additional Information

Training related to our menu, recipes, and kitchen protocols will be provided to the selected candidate to ensure smooth integration into the team.

Compensation

Salary ranges between 12,000 and 16,000 INR per month.
